Faye Marie Bishop Andrews, 80, Scott's Store community of Mount Olive, passed away peacefully at home surrounding by her loving family Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016.

Marie is survived by her husband of 61 years William "Bill" F. Andrews of the home; and her children whom she loved and was so proud of, son, Danny F. Andrews, M.D., of Hickory and daughter, Lovey Andrews, and son-in-law, Keith Jones, of Goldsboro.

She is also survived by brother, Ray Bishop of Mount Olive; sisters, Ruth Houston of Kenansville and Rose Brock of Wilmington; as well as numerous special and well-loved nieces and nephews and grandnieces and nephews, one of these being her loving "angel" and special caregiver in her final months of life, Barbara Goodson of Fayetteville; and dedicated and helpful sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Bill Teal.

She is also survived by her loving little "girl" and special companion, Snuggles, who rarely let her out of her sight.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Herman and Julie Bishop; brothers Hilburn, Haylon, Hubert and Chancey "Bud" Bishop; and sisters, Athelene "Sissie" Jones and Doris Carrell.

Marie was a lifelong member of Snow Hill Free Will Baptist Church, where she taught nursery and primary Sunday school classes at various times. She loved the church with all her heart and soul, and considered the members to be her second family, whom she loved almost as much as her own.

She always loved working in her beautiful yard, using her home-grown flowers to produce spectacular arrangements for the church she loved every Sunday for many years. She was so proud of those arrangements, and considered them her gift to God and her church family. Her faith was an important and vital part of her life.

She was a good and honest woman, who will be truly missed by all she touched, .a sign of a life well lived and a woman who was genuinely loved and cherished by all.

Visitation with family and friends will be Monday evening, Sept. 12, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home, with a service to celebrate Marie's life to follow at 7 p.m. in the Tyndall chapel. Officiating will be the pastor, Mark Hobbs and pastor Bob Fussell.

Interment will be Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 11 a.m. at Snow Hill Free Will Baptist Church cemetery, where she will be peacefully laid to rest at the church she so dearly loved.
