Donald E. Myers, Raleigh, passed away peacefully at home Sept. 1, 2016.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, Sept. 10, at 2 p.m. at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 S. Wilmington St., Raleigh, N.C.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Lennox and Eloise Cobb Myers, and his sister, Francis Wolford.
Don is survived by his wife of 66 years, Geraldine Williams Myers; daughter, Donna Hughes and husband, Steve, of Raleigh; son, Steve Myers and wife, Beth, of Asheville; and granddaughter, Joyner Myers.
Don was born in Johnston County, but lived most of his life in Raleigh.
Don's joking wit and work ethic never let him meet a stranger.
He enjoyed the beach, fishing, ACC Sports, his work and spending time with family.
