Donald Hughes Kennedy, 60, died Friday evening at his home.
Born in Anniston, Ala., he was the son of Carolyn Lakey Kennedy of Goldsboro and the late James B. "Jimmy" Kennedy.
A private graveside service will be held at Wayne Memorial Park, with pastor Lynn Epps officiating.
Having served his country as a veteran of the United States Navy, Donald had worked in automobile sales until he became disabled.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Donald J. Kennedy of Goldsboro, and a granddaughter, Haylee Kennedy of Goldsboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to Cure for Colors, 203 Cox Blvd., Goldsboro, N.C.
