JACK D. PEACOCK SR.

Jack D. Peacock Sr., 84, resident of Livingston, Texas, passed away Aug. 7, 2016, in Woodland Heights Hospital in Lufkin, Texas, after a short illness with cancer.
Jack was the son of the late Walter D. and Elma Hinson Peacock of Statesville, N.C.
He was a retired entrepreneur, and was a charter and active member of Assembly of God Little Brick Church in Statesville in his younger years.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Jack will be remembered as a kindhearted Southern gentleman, who was always ready for a good game of horseshoes with siblings and friends.
Jack was also preceded in death by his wife, Jean Adams Peacock of Livingston, Texas; seven of his brothers, Paul, Donald, Ernest, Lester, Joe, David and Jimmy Peacock; and one sister, Sarah P. Register.
Surviving him are a son, Jack D. Peacock Jr. of Flint, Mich.; a brother, Edward C. Peacock of Goodrich, Texas; a sister, Bess P. Cloer of Goldsboro, N.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be no formal service, but a private memorial will be announced at a later date.
