RUBY JOHNSON BEAMON

Ruby Johnson Beamon, 94, Goldsboro, passed away early Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Ruby was born in Wayne County April 17, 1922, to the late Joseph Dewey Johnson and Mary Gurley Johnson. She was married to the late Samuel Christopher Hayes Beamon.

Ruby loved Belfast Pentecostal Holiness Church, and was a dedicated and faithful servant her entire life.

She had a large extended circle of family and friends, and they were all very special to her. She will be missed, but greatly remembered.

A service celebrating Ruby's life will be held Friday, Aug. 5, 2016, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Greg Stancil officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at Seymour Funeral Home.

Interment will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016, in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Ruby is survived by her sons, James D. Beamon and wife, Phyllis, and Gerald Hayes Beamon and wife, Soundra; three grandchildren, Jessica Beamon (Tristan), Michelle Adkins (Brian) and Joseph Beamon (Svetlana); great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Erin Adkins; brother, William D. Johnson; and sisters, Christine Beamon and Irene Futrelle.

In addition to her husband and parents, Ruby joins her daughter, Brenda Sue Beamon, and her sister, Pauline Johnson, in heaven.

The family would like to thank the staff at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Special thanks to Dianne McClure, Bomita Arline and Rosemary Barden, who helped provide the love and support that Miss Ruby needed to stay home.
