Gail Brogden Herring Walker, 68, formerly of Goldsboro, passed away in Pensacola, Fla.

She was the daughter of the late Joseph Rogers and Myrtie Price Brogden, and was the wife of the late Louis Allen Herring and Robert Harold Walker.

Mrs. Walker was a member of St. John Free Will Baptist Church and a member of Goldsboro Women of the Moose.

She was a retired employee of Wayne County Public Schools.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. Committal services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends following the service Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Mrs. Walker is survived by two sons, Michael Herring of Seven Springs and Travis Herring and wife, Candace of Navarre, Fla., and grandchildren, Steven Parks, Kyle Herring, Cathryn Herring, Lillie Herring, Aalia Herring, Avery Walker and Tatum Walker.

A son, Leslie Herring, preceded her in death.
