CAROL ZEALY GOSS

Carol Zealy Goss, 68, passed away early Sunday, July 3, 2016, at her home.

Carol was born in Goldsboro on April 28, 1948, to the late Dr. James M. Zealy and Shanky Piper Zealy. She was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church in Goldsboro. Carol was employed as an AIG Specialist with Wayne County Public Schools, and was also a member of the teaching sorority, Delta Kappa Gamma. She always enjoyed her membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Terpsicorps Theatre of Dance.

A service celebrating Carol’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Wed., July 6, at The First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Leigh Gillis officiating. The family will receive friends at Carol’s home on Tuesday, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Carol is survived by her children, Tiffany Goss Rouse and husband, Robert of Goldsboro and Charles Terry Goss and wife, Jennifer of Raleigh; grandchildren, Austin Charles Williams, Ryan Lee Rouse, Alexander James Rouse and Piper Delamar Goss; and her brother, James McKee Zealy Jr. and wife, Carol of Lexington.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given in Carol’s memory to Cures for the Colors, SMOC, 203 Cox Blvd., Goldsboro, N.C. 27534.
