JAMES E. MARR

James Edward Marr, retired United States Air Force, 79, Goldsboro, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016, in Allentown, Pa., while visiting his daughter.
James was born in Danville, Pa., Dec. 17, 1936, to the late Harry Marr and Florence Wertman Marr. He was married to the late Jean Marr.
James retired as a technical sergeant with the United States Air Force.
He was a member of Providence United Methodist Church, the Goldsboro Singles Club and the Wayne Miniature Aeronautics.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2016, at Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Dusty Sprouse.
The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
James is survived by his daughters, Tracey A. Steele of Schnecksville, Pa., and Amy Kaye Marr of Chambersburg, Pa.; stepchildren, Debbie Vickory and husband, Branny, of Mount Olive, Maria Raynor and husband, Greg, of Goldsboro and Tammy Vann and husband, Kenneth, of Buies Creek; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his special friend and neighbor, Carolyn Parker.
In addition to his wife and parents, James was preceded in death by a son, Glenn Marr.
