Bettie Dunn Ham, 81, Goldsboro, died Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at Willow Creek Nursing Home.
Bettie was born in Wayne County July 25, 1934, to the late Dewey Linwood Jeannett and Katherine Dunn Jeannett.
As a child, she was raised by her grandmother, Elsie May Dunn, and her uncle, Ernest Whitley Dunn.
Bettie had retired from O'Berry Center after more than 22 years of dedicated service.
For 10 years, Bettie had worked at Eckerd Drugs in Kinston and in Goldsboro.
Bettie leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love and support for the people she cared about. Her enthusiasm and charm will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2016, in Dunn Family Plot at Cedar Grove Cemetery in New Bern.
She is survived by her daughter, Kim Carter; son, Randy W. Ham; daughter-in-law, Kathy Ham; grandchildren, Michael Wise and wife, Teresa, Ernest Ham and Caleb Ham and wife, April; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Bettie was preceded in death by her son, Sanford H. Ham Jr. ; grandson, Andy "B.J." Ham; and granddaughter, Miranda Powell Buck.
