Alvin Hester Mote Jr., 66, died Wednesday at Vidant Duplin Hospital.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Community Funeral Home in Rose Hill.
He was born July 19, 1949, in Pender County to Alvin Hester Mote and Jeanette Horrell Mote.
Visitation will follow the service.
