JOHN R. SMITH JR.
John R. "Jack" Smith Jr., 35, of Newport, died Tuesday, at Carteret Health Care.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m., at St. James United Methodist Church with Pastor Tom Supplee, the Rev. Jack Mumford and the Rev. Thomas Davis officiating. Interment to follow at Carteret Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his father, John R. Smith Sr. and wife, Carol of Otway and mother, Melissa Smith of Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at St. James United Methodist Church in Newport.
Arrangements are with Munden Funeral Home and Crematory, Morehead City.
