EUNICE ANN BECKERT

Eunice Ann Beckert, 71, passed away suddenly Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at her home.
The family will celebrate her life Friday, April 15, 2016, with visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and other times at her home. Interment will be held at a later date.
Eunice was born in New Jersey June 12, 1944, to the late Edward and Dorothea Beinert Hemingway.
She is survived by her two children, Mark Beckert and wife, Rhonda, of New Bern and Deanna Lessard and husband, Gary, of Hickory, N.C.; one sister, Joan Scheibener of Hendersonville, N.C.; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Honey Bun.
In addition to her parents, Eunice was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Beckert.
Although flowers are welcome, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 1131, Fairfax, Va., 22038-1131, in Eunice's memory.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
