ALICE BRADSHAW TILLMAN

Alice Bradshaw Tillman, 83, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her family.

Alice was born in Sampson County on January 11, 1933 to the late Dallas and Pearl Worrell Bradshaw. She enjoyed life and spending time with her family and friends. Alice was a valued nurse with Dr. H.D. Tyndall in Goldsboro for 26 years. While in retirement she enjoyed playing bridge with her friends at the Peggy Seegars Senior Center, crocheting and knitting, and most of all reading as many books as possible.

A service to celebrate Alice's life will be held on Tuesday, March 22, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with the Rev. Michele Clark and the Rev. Sandy Schaller officiating. Interment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Alice is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ted Tillman; daughters, Vicki Phillips and husband, Tony of Goldsboro, and Lynette Overman and husband, John of Pikeville; grandchildren, Nathan Overman, Matthew Overman and wife, Samantha, Mitchell Phillips and wife, Mary Beth, and Rebecca Harris and husband, Will; great-grandchildren, Avie Overman, Sarah Overman, Greyson Phillips and Everly Phillips; and sister, Kathryn Forehand.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Salem United Methodist Church, 2706 Salem Church Road, Goldsboro, N.C. 27530.

The family will receive friends from 6:30-7:30 p.m. today at Seymour Funeral Home.

We would like to give a very special thank you to the wonderful staff at Kitty Askins Hospice Center for the love and care they provided for Alice during her final days. Simple words cannot express our gratitude.
