July 2, 1942-March 16, 2016

Mary Louise Hobbs Lee, 73-year-old Faison resident, passed away at home in the early morning hours of Wednesday, March 16.

She was a retired nurse with 38 years of exemplary service at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Lee is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Lee of Faison, and her special friend, Phil Kaylor of Turkey; three grandchildren, Travis Lee of Faison, Ashley Baldwin and husband, Brandon, of Dunn, and John Douglas Smith of Faison; a sister, Shirley H. Vinson of Florence, S.C.; a brother and sister-in-law, C. J. and Ruby Hobbs of Faison; a sister-in-law, Jean Hobbs of Goldsboro; and a number of nieces and nephews from her deceased siblings.

Mrs. Lee was so looking forward to meeting her first great-granddaughter, who is soon to arrive.

She was also the widow of Bobby Lee, the mother of the late Amanda Rose Lee Smith and daughter of the late Levander H. and Rosa Bell Joyner Hobbs.

The family of Mrs. Mary Lee will be receiving friends at Tyndall's Funeral Home in Mount Olive beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 19, with a funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Participating in the service will be the Rev. Andy Beard, the Rev. Paul Rose and the Rev. Ronnie Ezzell. Burial in the Faison Cemetery will take place immediately following the funeral.
