Henry Wade Emerson, 87, 1398 Mitchell Chapel Road, died Sunday.
Funeral Friday at 3 p.m. Mitchell Chapel AME Zion Church of Pittsboro. Burial will be at Evans Chapel Church Cemetery of Siler City.
He was born Jan. 29, 1929, in Chatham County to the late Lessie Emerson and Lydia Webster Emerson. He was married to the late Marian Nettles Emerson.
He is survived by two daughters.
Visitation 2 to 3 p.m. Friday at Mitchell Chapel Church.
Arrangements are by Knotts Funeral Home of Pittsboro.
