Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Teresa Flowers; son, Jeffery P. Flowers; granddaughter, Brina Potvin; sister, Annette Cotton Pate and brother-in-law, Earl Pate; and sister-in-law Ruby Cotton; among numerous cousins and nieces.

She was preceded in death by parents, Elizabeth (90) and James Roby Cotton Sr. (29); grandparents, Nettie Smith Summerlin (87) and Albert Summerlin (87); brother, James Roby Cotton Jr. (66); father of her children and husband of 25 years, Joel P. Flowers (71); and late husband of 15 years, John Falcone (83).
