Elsie Asad Rabil, 87, Rocky Mount, passed away Friday, Feb. 12, 2016.

Born in New London, Conn., May 27, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Inez Revettie Asad and Arthur N. Asad.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, B.D. Rabil Jr.; her stepson, Robert J. Rabil Sr.; and her stepmother, Lurlene M. Asad.

Elsie was the administrator of Covenant Homes, and retired in 1998.

She was head accountant for Need Inc.

Elsie was a longtime member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Rocky Mount.

She was the kindest of ladies, and was loved by all who knew her.

She is survived by her stepchildren, Richard J. Rabil and Cynthia R. Williams; her loving sister-in-law, Virginia R. Mansour of Goldsboro; her two devoted nephews, Ernest N. Mansour Jr. and Edward F Mansour II of Goldsboro; daughter-in-law, Helen Rabil of Nashville; two grandsons, Robert J. Rabil Jr. of Nashville and Clifton Maddison Rabil and his wife, Alicia Rabil, of Minnesota; and three great-great-grandchildren, Rachel, Thackeri and Giles.

A graveside service will be held today at 2 p.m. at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Visitation was Monday.
