David Grant, 90, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Shirley Johnson and Carolyn Snyder, and one grandchild.
A service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ralph Parker officiating. Entombment will be in the Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Family members will greet friends Saturday from 2 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
David is survived by his wife, Martha Pearl Grant of the home; sons, Richard Grant, Tommy Grant and Larry Starddard; daughters, Wanda Grant, Nancy Howell, Patsy Lucas, Nancy Grant and Carol Radford; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 104 Handley Park Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
