KENNETH L. WIGGINS

Kenneth L. Wiggins, 84, passed away Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, at Forsythe Medical Center in Winston-Salem surrounded by his children.

A service celebrating Kenneth's life will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, with the Rev. James H. Harry officiating.

The family will receive friends Monday, Jan. 11, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.

Kenneth was born in Wayne County Aug. 25, 1931, to the late Frank and Hazel Britt Wiggins.

He was married to the late Inez Hamilton Wiggins, who preceded him in death April 2, 2011.

Kenneth owned and operated Wayne Pharmacy in Goldsboro with his family, and was honored in 2014 by the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy for his 60 years of service. A lifelong pharmacist and trusted friend and neighbor, he worked from sun up to sun down, demonstrating a strong work ethic and a love for his profession and the people he served.

Kenneth was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, and had been recognized as a master stage technician with the Gold Masquers.

Above all, Kenneth enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

Kenneth is survived by his children, Gail Drew and husband, Jim, Ken Wiggins and wife, Mary, Carol Anne Murray and Mike Wiggins and wife, Christie; his grandchildren, Jonathan Drew, Charlie Drew, Kenneth Wiggins III, Mary Grace Wiggins, Mathew Murray, Mark Murray and wife, Leann, Will Murray, Caraleigh Mewborn Mitchell and husband, Ryan, and Michael Wiggins; two great-grandchildren, Chelsea Murray and Conleigh Mitchell; sister, Geraldine "Midget" Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Durwood Wiggins, and sister, Jean Hollowell.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked memorials be given to the Indigent Fund at St. Paul United Methodist Church in memory of Kenneth L. Wiggins, 204 E. Chestnut St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
