ETHEL KAY SWINSON

Ethel Kay Coker Swinson, 82, lifelong Mount Olive resident, passed into the waiting presence of her Lord Thursday, Sept. 17, while at Genesis of Mount Olive, where she had been residing for the last few years.

Her life will be remembered in a graveside service to be Saturday, Sept. 19, at 2 p. m. at Wayne Memorial Park, with the Rev. Jeff Dail officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Mitchell Swinson residence, 437 Ralph Dail Road, Mount Olive.

Mrs. Swinson had been employed with Burlington Industries in Mount Olive, and was the widow of Leamon G. Swinson and daughter of the late James Clifton and Hazel Holmes Coker.

Also, she was preceded in death by a son, Dennis G. Swinson; a sister, Eunice C. Guy; and three brothers, Buddy Coker, Judson Coker and Willie Coker.

Survivors include a daughter, Diann S. Mitchell and husband, Marty, of Raleigh; two sons, Ronnie Swinson of Mount Olive and Mitchell Swinson and wife, Daphne, of Mount Olive; four grandchildren, Patrick Tucker of Raleigh, Nicholas Tucker and his wife, Cristina, of Fort Bragg, Dustin Swinson of Seven Springs and Madeline Swinson of Mount Olive; three great-grandchildren, Kyler, Ethan and Elijah Tucker of Fort Bragg; two sisters, Hazel Lorraine C. Creech and Shirley C. Overton both of Mount Olive; two brothers, Jerry Coker and Kenneth Coker both of Grantham; and several nieces and nephews.
