Barbara Stanfield Comer, 82, Goldsboro, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015, at her home.

Barbara was born in Guilford County Feb. 9, 1933, to the late Percy and Claudia Wagner Stanfield. She was married to the late John Comer.

Barbara was the proud owner of John Comer's Cove at Cedar Point.

She always had a smile on her face, and her greatest joy in life was spending time with her daughters. Barbara will be remembered for the love and laughter that she shared during her well-lived life.

The family will receive friends Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service celebrating Barbara's life at 11 a.m. in the chapel, with the Rev. Rick Mondell officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Barbara is survived by her daughters, Barbara Ann Draughon and family of Carteret County, Susan Pike and husband, Allan, of Cedar Point, Tammy Murray and husband, Doug, of Goldsboro and Johnice Comer and friend, David Dombert, of Gaithersburg, Md.; grandchildren, Kelly Crocker and husband, Jason, Les Pike and wife, Magen, Alexis Rosenfeld and Haili Rosenfeld; great-grandchildren, Adam Crocker, Allie Crocker, Gavin Pike and Nolan Pike; sister, Polly Collins of Madison; and brother, Mitt Stanfield of Madison.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to Maynard Children's Hospital at Vidant Medical Center, P.O. Box 8489, Greenville, N.C., 27835, or Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
