Michael Justin Showman, 33, Goldsboro, passed away Monday evening at his home.
Justin was born in Pitt County Dec. 11, 1981, to Paula Heath Showman and Bill Showman of Goldsboro.
He was a true sportsman, most comfortable outdoors, on the water kayaking or in the woods camping.
Justin had a wonderful sense of humor, and never took himself too seriously. He was a good friend and a great father, and had a generous heart.
A service celebrating Justin's life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, 2015, in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with his father, Bill Showman, presiding. Interment will follow in Walstonburg Cemetery.
Justin is survived by his wife, Melissa O. Showman; twin sons, Malachi Aaron Showman and Michael Shayne Showman; daughter, Madelyn Grace Showman; stepson, Maverick Cordell Blizzard; mother, Paula Showman; father and stepmother, Bill and Julie Showman; sister, Janna Kimbrell and husband, Donnie, and their children, Leyah and Makenna; and his grandmother, Mary Heath.
He is also survived by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, LouAnn and Larry Overman; half-brothers, Shawn Showman and wife, Ang, and Billy Showman and wife, Celine, their daughter, Megan; stepbrother, Chris Alexander; and stepsister, Heather Ayers and husband, Andy, and their son, Drew.
Memorials may be given to the Showman 3 M's Educational Fund, c/o Seymour Funeral Home, 1300 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of his mother.
