James Elliott Faison Sr., 66, 306 S.W. Center St., Faison, died Aug. 5 at Vidant Medical Center.
Funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Payne Temple AME Zion Church. Burial will be in Cobbs Cemetery
Born in Sampson County, he was the son of the late Willie Roy and Elouise Williams Faison, and husband of Willetta Southerland Faison.
Two children survive.
Visitation will be Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home chapel, with the family present from 6 to 7. At other times, the family will be at the home.
