Visitation for David L. Summerlin will be Friday, July 17, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Oak Wolfe Fire Department, 2418 Summerlin's Crossroads Road, Mount Olive.
Funeral services will be held at the fire department Saturday, July 18, at 11 a.m., with burial following in Summerlin Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorial gifts be made to Oak Wolfe Fire Dept., c/o Jack Alphin, 519 Bethel Church Road, Mount Olive, N.C., or Bethel United Methodist Church, c/o Charles Ivey, 2284 Summerlin's Crossroads Road, Mount Olive.
Mr. Summerlin, 75, passed away Monday evening, July 13, at Wake Medical Center following several weeks of hospitalization.
He was a founding member and retired chief of Oak Wolfe Fire Department and member of Bethel Methodist Church.
