David Earl Bailey, 71, passed away at his home July 6 following a lingering illness surrounded by his loved ones.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma; daughters, Crystal Farnwalt and husband, John, of Pine Level and Gwen Bailey of Selma; stepdaughters, Renee Pope and husband, Randy, of Mount Olive and Linda Cook and husband, Andy, of Kentucky; stepson, Billy Holmes of Goldsboro; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home just prior to the service from 6 to 7 p.m. and at other times, at the home.
Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery near Goldsboro.
