Dock E. Edgerton, 89, Pinkney Road, Kenly, died Monday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Visitation will be Thursday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Nahunta Cemetery.
He was born in Wayne County Oct. 13, 1925, to the late Nathan and Lona Edgerton. He was married to Joan Crawford Edgerton.
He is survived by a son and two daughters.
