HAROLD KORNEGAY

Harold Kornegay, 66, Goldsboro, passed away suddenly Thursday, July 2, 2015, at his home.
Harold was born in Wayne County Nov. 12, 1948, to the late Landis and Jennie Williams Kornegay.
He was married to the late Victoria Phipps Kornegay, who preceded him in death Dec. 6, 2009.
Harold had retired from Cooper Standard after 28 years of service.
He had a huge heart, always giving and reaching out to others. Most would remember the joy that Harold's presence would bring when visiting at the Huddle House.
The family will receive friends Sunday, July 5, 2015, from 4 to 5 p.m. at Brogden United Methodist Church, followed by a service celebrating Harold's life at 5 p.m. Burial will follow in Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Harold is survived by his daughter, Kristina Carlson and husband, Lance; two grandchildren, Cameron Mayo and Halleigh Carlson; sister, Mary Ella Best and husband, Lonnie; nieces, Frances Jones, Kathryn Patterson, Amanda Peeden and Nicole Miller; and his special friend, Loretta Dillon and her grandchildren, Justine Sparks and Brianna Walton.
