Christa Evans, Goldsboro, died Sunday, June 28, 2015, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
She was a native of Goldsboro, N.C.
She was a graduate of Goldsboro High School class of 1989.
She was employed by O'Berry Center approximately more than 13 years. She was also employed by Soft-T-Shop/Tastee Freeze on South John Street for more than 25 years.
She was a member of St. James Church of Christ, 603 W. Spruce St., Goldsboro, N.C.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving mother, Lynette Exum Evans of Goldsboro; one son, Ra'shard Evans of Fort Riley, Kan.; two sisters, Alicia Wynn and Camilia Evans of Goldsboro, N.C.; and five brothers, Howard Evans Jr., Reginald Evans and Corey Evans Sr. all of Goldsboro, N.C., Marcus Evans of Fort Bliss, Texas, and Brandon Evans of Dallas, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her loving father, Howard Evans Sr.
Family will be receiving friends at 306 Duffy Drive, Goldsboro, N.C.
Funeral service will be Sunday, July 5, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Bear Creek Association, 1800 S. Slocumb St. The Rev. Veronica J. Carmichael will be officiating. Burial will be at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley, N.C.
Viewing will be Saturday 2 to 7 p.m. Family will be present from 6 to 7 p.m.
Services entrusted to J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, N.C.
