Mr. Larry Donnell King, 54, lovingly known by his family and friends as "King," 393 Loop Road, Goldsboro, N.C., departed his earthly life Saturday, June 20, 2015, at his residence in Goldsboro, N.C.

"King" was born in Wayne County Nov. 19, 1960, to the late Mr. Roger Warren and Mrs. Mattie King Kornegay.

He received his education in the public school system of Wayne County. King furthered his education by being accepted into Winston-Salem State University.

During his working years, King was employed with Carolina Power and Light Co. (CP&L), where he served as a dependable lineman for more than 25 years.

As a prestigious horseman, King organized and founded the "Joy Riders Saddle Club" of Dudley, N.C., back in the year 2000.

Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, June 27, 2015, at 11 a.m. in Goldsboro First Assembly Church, 3000 Summit Road, Goldsboro, N.C. Apostle Walter Barbour will officiate. Interment will follow in Broadhurst Family Cemetery, 3377 Indian Springs Road, Seven Springs, N.C.

Mr. King leaves to cherish his loving and precious memories to his wife of the home, Carla Parks King of Goldsboro, N.C.; his daughter, Nikko Tayleor and husband, Darnell, of Durham, N.C.; his three sons, Micheal D. King, Theodore Cox and wife, Barbara, of Goldsboro, N.C., and Jamal King of the home; his two stepdaughters, Trissa Sanders of the home and Tomeka Pride of Pikeville, N.C.; his four grandchildren, Brielle and Nia (Nikko) of Durham, N.C., Marshaun McCullen (Tomeka) of Pikeville, N.C., and Semaj Miller (Theodore) of Goldsboro, N.C.; his godson, Marcus Graham; his goddaughter, Kim Boney; one special friend, Gina Anderson; his three sisters, Linda Warren and Cynthia Warren both of Raleigh, N.C., and Deborah Cromartie and husband, Spanky, of Goldsboro, N.C.; his brother, Linwood (Rab) Sanders of Smithfield, N.C.; his nine loving aunts; his uncle; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Saturday, June 27, 2015, the family members and friends will assemble one hour prior at 9:30 a.m. at the King's residence, 393 Loop Goldsboro, N.C., in preparation for the funeral procession.

Flowers may be sent to McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, N.C., beginning Friday, June 26, 2015, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
