Faison Dan Robinson Jr., 76, Goldsboro, went to be with the Lord Monday afternoon at Kitty Askins Hospice Center with his family by his side.
He retired after 27 years of service in the United States Air Force, and was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, St. Leo University and the school of divinity of Wake Forest University.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
A native of Wilmington, he was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred Elizabeth Cottle Robinson and Faison Dan Robinson Sr.
A celebration of his life will be Friday at 9 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. The Rev. Wayne Nelson will officiate.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service to share and reflect on the life Faison.
Surviving are his wife, Jackie Osteen Robinson; daughter, Diane R. Kirk (Kerry) of Goldsboro; son, Daniel Edward Robinson (Stacey) of Goldsboro; sisters, Janice R. Swain and Betty Jane Robinson of Wilmington; grandchildren, Carrie Kirk, Matt Kirk and his fiancée, Brenna Owens, and Christinia K. Ziccarelli (Andrew); and great-grandchildren, Brayden Ziccarelli and Addison Ziccarelli.
