FANNIE ELIZABETH 'BETTY' JENKINS

April 26, 1939-June 15, 2015

Mrs. Fannie Elizabeth "Betty" Jenkins, 76, a resident of Franklinville and former resident of Greensboro, died Monday, June 15, 2015, at Hospice Home of Randolph.

Betty was born April 26, 1939, in Goldsboro, the daughter of the late Joseph John Thomas and Gladys Pippen Vail Goff.

She worked as the office manager of M.B. Kahn Construction Co., and was a member of Lakeside Church of God in Ramseur.

Aug. 26, 1968, she was married to Darrell Ray Jenkins, who survives of the home.

Surviving, in addition to Darrell, are two daughters, Deanna Hope Talton of Wilson and Margaret Yvonne Jenkins-Dickens and husband, Bobby, of Denton; two sons, Lloyd Alva Blackman and wife, Cami, of Vandaila, Mo., and Darrell Ray Jenkins Jr. and wife, Tonya, of Burgaw; four sisters, Edith Gray Baker of Selbyville, Del., Jackqueline "Jackie" Pippen Pate and husband, Denny Ray, of Pikeville, Lanell Morene of Pikeville and Annette Lavie of Selbyville, Del.; one brother, Thomas Brittan Goff and wife, Teresa, of Snow Hill, Md.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and 21 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel in Greensboro, conducted by pastor Kenneth J. Whitley. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
