NANNIE LOU BENNETT

Nannie Lou Jones Bennett, 80, Blizzard's Crossroads community near Mount Olive, died Wednesday morning, May 20, 2015.

Graveside services will be held Friday, May 22, at 10 a.m. at Bennett Family Cemetery on Bennett's Bridge Road, Mount Olive. Officiating will be the Rev. Paul Rose.

Friends and relatives are being received at the home of Debbie and Donald Stroud, 1229 Outlaw's Bridge Road, Seven Springs.

Nannie Lou was the daughter of the late Drifty and Nannie Kate Taylor Jones. She was the widow of Adrian Bennett.

She and her husband were farmers in their earlier years, followed by her employment as a supervisor at several area sewing factories.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Bertha and Tony Hill of Kinston and Debbie and Donald Stroud of Seven Springs; a son and daughter-in-law, Loren and Kelly Bennett of Deep Run; two sisters, Annie Ruth Herring and Betty Faye Williams both of Mount Olive; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Flowers are welcome or memorial gifts may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
