Larry D. Rose, 57, Jacksonville, passed away Monday, May 11, 2015.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2015, at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville chapel.
Born Dec. 3, 1957, in Onslow County, Larry was the son of Travis Rose and the late Louise Rose.
Larry is survived by Pam Rose; his son, Tyler Rose; and daughter, Katelyn Rose.
He is also survived by his brother, Eddie Rose and his wife, Julie; sister, Susan Shugart and her husband, Bill; sister, Janet Swart and her husband, Jack; nine nephews; and one niece.
Larry enjoyed a successful career with the family retail furniture business, Rose Brothers Furniture, for 39 years.
He was a well-rounded individual, who loved animals and enjoyed many hobbies, athletics, traveling and especially boating.
Days spent at his family home on the river was his favorite pastime, where he could be found boating, jet skiing, grilling out and sharing a meal with family and friends, usually wearing his United States Marine Corps gold and red sweatshirt.
He will remain in our hearts and minds forever.
