CARROLL E. HERRING

Carroll Lambert Herring, 79, resident of the Rones Chapel community, Mount Olive, died early Saturday morning, May 9, 2015, at Kitty Askins Hospice.
Known as "Dump" to most folks, he was a retired farmer and heavy equipment operator. He was the son of the late Clarence and Ella Kelly Herring, and had two brothers, Leonard Ray Herring and John William Herring, both of whom are deceased.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa A. Moeller of the home; a daughter, Kelly Herring of the home; and two sons, Kyle Lambert Herring of Wilmington and David Herring of the Rones Chapel community, Mount Olive.
Graveside rites will be held Monday, May 11, at 10 a.m. at the Kelly Family Cemetery at Rones Chapel, with the Rev. Robert Ellis officiating. Friends may call at the residence on Monday, anytime following the services.
