TOMMY DOUGLAS LINDSAY

Tommy Douglas Lindsay, 56, passed away Monday, May 4, 2015, after a courageous battle with T-cell lymphoma.
Born in Goldsboro, N.C., March 8, 1959, Doug resided in Washington, D.C.
Doug was a loving husband, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, who lived his life with a big heart, a perpetual smile and an infectious personality that consumed the room. Doug never met a stranger, and fostered lifelong friends and acquaintances effortlessly.
After serving in the United States Coast Guard, Doug worked 25 years building an extremely successful career in medical technology sales. Throughout his professional career, Doug received numerous "top performer" awards, and he was instrumental in the success of multiple start-up companies.
Doug is survived by his wife, Julie; his sister, Jeannine Abdallah and her husband, Kim; sister-in-law, Glenda Lindsay; brother-in-law, Steve Bell and his wife, Ann; nephews, John and Matt Lindsay; nieces, Julianna Abdallah, Alex Johnson (Danny), Meghan Bell and Elise Bell; mother-in-law, Ann Bell; and numerous loving cousins.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Ruth Lindsay, and his brother, Dennis.
A memorial service is planned for a future date to be determined.
Doug's passion was sailing and being on the water. He always wanted to share that love with others.
