Carrie Mae Holland Hinson, 91, died Wednesday afternoon at her daughter's home in Princeton.
Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Burton and Lillie Bass Holland, and was the wife of the late Charlie Vance Hinson.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Junior Hinson, and a son-in-law, Donald King.
A service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, May 9, at 1 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral chapel, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Carrie is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Mary Hinson King of Princeton, N.C., and Hilda Gray and Bob Sharpe of Cayce, S.C.; one half-brother; Burt Holland Jr. of Four Oaks, N.C.; two half-sisters, Doris Young of Grantham, N.C., and Ruby Smith of Four Oaks, N.C.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
