PAUL L. WATSON

Paul L. Watson, 75, died Sunday evening at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Born in Pea Ridge, Ky., he was the son of the late Prentice and Wilna Scott Watson.

He was also preceded in death by brothers, Elford N. Watson and James E. Watson; sister, Yvonne Watson; and sister-in-law, Wilma and Edward "Lucky" Kohnen.

A computer engineer, he was a veteran of the United States Air Force and the United States Coast Guard, a member of Mount Olive Kiwanis Club and a volunteer firefighter with Indian Springs Fire Department.

A service to celebrate Paul's life will be held Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jim Willoughby officiating.

Family members will greet friends following the service at the funeral home and at other times, will be at the home.

A private burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.

Paul is survived by his wife, Betty Barwick Watson; his daughters, Pam and Dennis Molina, Paula and Everette Thornton, Tracey and Scott Bargoil and Kelly and Steve Putnam; his brothers, George Watson and Gene Watson; a sister-in-law, Eva and Gene Joyner; brothers-in-law, Charles and Faye Barwick and Johnny and Bonnie Barwick; grandchildren, J.P. Parson, Lee Molina, Chase Molina, Dwayne Thornton, Chad Thornton, Stacy Thornton, Woodrow Thornton, Samuel Bargoil, Allison Bargoil, Olivia Bargoil and Evan Putnam; and two great- grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534, or Emmaus Baptist Church, 714 Emmaus Church Road, Dudley, N.C., 28333.
