Eliza Joyner Jones, 94, 1128 G St., New Bern, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, at her residence.
She was a native of LaGrange, and moved to New Bern in 1966.
She held membership at Rue Chapel AME Church, serving as an usher, choir member and hospitality member.
Her funeral service was Saturday at Highways and Hedges Revival Center, 1601 National Ave., New Bern. Burial followed at New Bern Memorial Cemetery.
She is survived by two daughters, Doris J. Coleman of Goldsboro and Julia Jones of New Bern; stepdaughter, Phyllis Jones of New Bern; a brother, Robert Joyner, Goldsboro; two sisters, Ethel J. Farmer of Wash- ington, D.C., and Alice Faye Spells of Maryland; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchil- dren.
Arrangements were by Oscar’s Mortuary.
