Darby Joey Whitman, 55, resident of Mount Olive, passed away Saturday night, Feb. 14, 2015, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A visitation / memorial gathering will be at Tyndall Funeral Home Thursday, Feb. 19, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
He had been employed in the electrical and construction business.
He is survived by a daughter, Shannon Lee Jones and husband, Timothy Jones, of Beulaville; five grandchildren, Morgan Underwood and James, Allison, Haley and Collin Pearson; two brothers, Dennis Audy Whitman of Mount Olive, with whom he lived, and Guenther Staude of Austria; and a sister, Erika Griffin of Florida.
Parents, Joseph Audy Whitman and Hildegarde Steiner Whitman, and brothers, Heinz Staude and Teter Staude, preceded him in death.
