RUBY EVELYN ROGERS EARP

Ruby Evelyn Rogers Earp, 87, Goldsboro, passed away Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015.

Born in Johnston County Dec. 11, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Wiley Tommy and Flora Elizabeth Parrish Rogers.

Her husband was the late Rev. James C. Earp Sr.

Mrs. Earp assisted her husband in his ministry for most of her adult life. She was a member of Holt's Pond Church of God of Prophecy.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. just prior to the service.

Burial will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park in Goldsboro.

Surviving are her son, the Rev. James C. "Jimmy" Earp Jr. and wife, Kay, of Princeton; daughters, Shirley Zabriskie and husband, Joe, of Dudley, Betty Rook and husband, Larry, of Pikeville and Judy Beavers and husband, Curtis, of Clayton; her brother, Lebert Earl Rogers of Dunn; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
