KATHRYN AMARYLISS 'KITTY' BOSEMAN

Sept. 17, 1927-Jan. 18, 2015

"Miss Kitty" Boseman passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and friends, on Jan. 18, 2015, at 87 years of age.

She has joined her beloved husband of 67 years, Frank Cuthrell Boseman, in paradise.

They are survived by their children, Frank Jr., Dave, John and Bonnie; daughters-in-law Debbie (Frank) and Lisa (John); son-in-law Glenn (Bonnie); grandchildren, Heather, Frank III, Kathryn (Katie) and Jordan; and great-grandchildren Caitlin, Erica and Abby.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Julia Linke and David Cook Sumrell, and her brothers, R. J. and Jack Sumrell.

Kitty was born on Sept. 17, 1927, in Rocky Mount.

She graduated from Pineland Junior College in Salemburg and attended St. Mary's College in Raleigh and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

She was a founding member of St. Francis Episcopal Church in Goldsboro, where she was past president of the Episcopal Church Women and an active member of the Altar Guild and other committees for many years. She was past president of the Gardenettes Garden Club and an assistant manager of the Merle Norman store in Goldsboro.

Funeral services will be held at St. Francis Episcopal Church at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Francis Episcopal Church, 503 Forest Hill Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
