Sophia Grady, 94, 200 E. Lockhaven Drive, Apt. 7B, formerly of Kinston, died Thursday, Jan. 8, in Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
She was born in Lenoir County Oct. 9, 1920, to Joseph and Bertha Collins, and is survived by a son.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at noon at Greater Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitation Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Haskins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence of her goddaughter, Minnie Thompson, 200 E. Lockhaven Drive, Apt. 7B, where it will assemble in preparation for the funeral service.
