Ernest Eugene "Gene" Murrell, 64, 255 Bell Town Road, Fort Barnwell community, Dover, died Monday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Alum Spring Church of Christ Disciples of Christ. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mount Zion Christian Church in Dover.
Arrangements are by Christian Brothers Funeral Home of Kinston.
