Blannie Howard "Billy" Head, 80, LaGrange, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015.
A native of Greene County, he was born July 14, 1934, the son of Willie Patrick and Alice Ginn Head. He owned and operated Head's Garage for many years and was a member of Fort Run PFWB Church.
A memorial service will be held at Fort Run PFWB Church at 6 p.m. today, with the Revs. Larry Turlington and Tom Dorman presiding.
His surviving family includes his wife, Margaret Sutton Head; daughters, Angie Head Herring and husband, Gary, of Snow Hill, and Melody Head and friend, Jose Cruz, of Snow Hill; a sister, Faye Head Lane of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Blake Herring and wife, Kelly, of Jefferson City, Tenn., Austin Herring, Tyler Herring, Makayla Raynor, T.J. Raynor and Justin Head, all of Snow Hill; and great-grandchildren, Kaden Swah and Peyton Herring.
He was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Howard Head and a daughter, Cindy Head Coley.
