James Earl Jones, Albertson, went home to be with his Lord and savior Jan. 3, 2015, surrounded by his family at Quinn Hospice Center.
He fought his fight, and his work on Earth is done.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pauline and Alford Jones; his wife, Marie Quinn Jones; son, Ricky Jones; granddaughter, Tammy Best Flowers; and brothers, Bruce and Harold Jones.
Earl is survived by his sons, Randy Jones of Albertson and Ronnie Jones of Deep Run; daughters, Diane Coker of Rosewood and Debbie Hair and husband, John, of Goldsboro; sister, Elsie Pate and husband, Leonard, of Seven Springs; two special brothers-in-law, James Earl Quinn and wife, Tammy, and Ernest Quinn and wife, Inez, all of Kinston; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, at Pink Hill Funeral Home chapel, with visitation following. Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015, at Daly's Chapel Church Cemetery.
