Ellen Marie Horne, 80, of Goldsboro passed away Monday evening at LifeCare Hospital in Rocky Mount surrounded by her family.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday at noon at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley. Presiding is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Mrs. Horne was born in Wayne County on Dec. 5, 1934 to the late Frank Mihlon and Bertha West Pearsall.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She is survived by her children, Margaret Rose Horne Reed and George R. Horne Jr., of the home, Carla Marie and husband, Doug Peterson, of Smithfield, Utah, Avery Mihlon Horne and wife, Vickie, and children, Shannon and Jonathan Paim of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Jonathan Balone, Joy and Issac Leituala, Justin and Jeromy King; eight great-grandchildren of Utah; her sister, Hilda Marran Pearsall; nephew, Frank Mihlon Pearsall III; and her sister-in-law, Linda Pearsall of Goldsboro.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Horne.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
