MARY IPOCK HARRISON

Died Nov. 28, 2014

LAGRANGE -- Mary Louise Ipock Harrison, 74, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2014. Mrs. Harrison was a native of Craven County and following marriage to her husband of 54 years, Heber Elton Harrison, made her home in the Arba Community of Greene County.

An avid homemaker, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother in addition to helping tend and manage the farm. In more recent years, she was a fixture at Carson's Auction, where she served the patrons attending hot-dogs. Mrs. Harrison was a longtime member of Free Gospel PFWB Church.

Funeral services will be held today at 6 p.m. at Free Gospel PFWB Church with the Rev. Danny Hamm and the Rev. Gary Tingen officiating. Committal services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the New Hull Road Church Cemetery located on Joshua Mewborn Road in the Arba Community.

Mrs. Harrison was preceded in death by her father, Saint Elmo Ipock, her mother, Mary Elizabeth Daughtry Mandes, and stepmother, Ruby Vivian Harrison Ipock.

Her surviving family includes her husband, Elton Harrison, daughters Beverly Harrison Hartley and husband, Randy, of Goldsboro, and Allison Harrison Lewis and husband, Roy, of Greenville; son, Elton Dexter Harrison and wife, Lisa, of LaGrange; grandchildren, Ryan Hartley of Goldsboro, Michael Dexter Harrison of LaGrange, Amie Lewis of Washington, and Lindsay Lewis Temple and husband, Landen, of Bath; great-grandsons, Jaden Spain and Alex Spain; a sister, Vivian Elaine "Jacki" Hadra of New Jersey; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday evening following the service and other times at the residence, 5465 Hull Road, LaGrange, N.C.
