Peggy Peele Walston, 81, Goldsboro, passed away suddenly on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014, at her home.

Peggy was born in Wayne County on July 11, 1933, to the late Randle and Eula Davis Peele.

She was married to the late David Garlon "Shine" Walston Sr.

Her life was filled with humility, kindness and a love for others that she displayed every time she smiled.

She dedicated her life to serving her family unselfishly and to serving her Lord.

She was a member of Saulston United Methodist Church and had worked for many years at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Peggy had a large, extended circle of family and friends, and they were all very special to her.

She will be missed, but greatly remembered.

A service celebrating Peggy's life will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, at Saulston United Methodist Church with the Rev. Brian Huffman and the Rev. Charles Moseley officiating.

Interment will be Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the Peele family cemetery.

Peggy is survived by her son, Brad Walston and wife, Angie, of LaGrange; grandchildren, David Mayron Walston and wife, Courtney; Ginny Noelle Hicks and husband, Shawn; Trent Walston and fiancée, Samantha; Bobby Garlon Walston; Brandi Nicole Walston; and Dylan Corbett; great-grandchildren, Julian Hicks, Lillian Hicks, Hunter Walston and Hayley Walston; sister, Rachel Fields of Pikeville; and her brother, Jarvis Elwood "Hoss" Peele of Goldsboro.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, David Garlon Walston Jr., and brother, Franklin Peele.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Saulston United Methodist Church, 4620 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.

The family will receive friends Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, from 6 to 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall of Saulston United Methodist Church and immediately following the service.

At other times, the family will be at her home.
