Pearl Jones Herring, 87, passed away Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014, at Willow Creek Nursing Home.
Pearl was born in Johnston County Aug. 13, 1927, to the late William Thad and Nellie Warren Jones. She was married to the late Leon Curtis Herring.
Pearl loved life and the life she had with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 13, 2014, in the Willow Dale Cemetery, with pastor Gene Waters officiating.
The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.
Pearl is survived by her sons, Bobby Herring and wife, Angie, of Goldsboro and Steve Herring and wife, Barbara, of Clayton; grandchildren, Melissa Stillabower, Brian Herring, Michael Herring and Amy Herring; and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Herring; brother, Otis Jones; and sisters, Edna Deans, Dean Howell and Helen Sutton.
