Cecil L. Sherrod, 86, 1750 Piney Grove Church Road, Kenly, died Sunday.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Minshew-Coley Funeral Home in Kenly, with the Rev. Richie Cuddington officiating. Interment with Masonic Rites and military honors will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Wilson.
He was born May 11, 1928, in Nash County, the son of the late Lonnie and Jennie Lamm Sherrod of Rock Ridge. He was married to the late Zelphia Wilson Sherrod.
He is survived by three sons.
Visitation will be at the funeral home tonight from 6 to 8.
